I am a only child, so I think I have a strong tie with my parents especially. I do not have any brother or sister, but I have parents, who know me, listen to me, give advice to me, spend a good time with me! I really appreciate!

Actually, however, I have been thinking lately that I have to become independent gradually. To be honest, it is not easy, I think. But I can be secure, because they must keep their eyes on me.

I have never doubted their love to me, and I know I am a very happy girl!

I felt the father's aggressiveness although he was so sad when his wife decided to get a divorce from him actually. He has a great humor before the divorce, but he could stay positive even after that. I think he could do that, because of his humor!

It is important for us too in order to face difficulties, enrich our life, and cope with stress.I think I am too serious in many cases and feel stress which is not needed, so I find the importance of cultivating humor. I got an encouragement from this movie!

Movie: Mrs.Doubt!

I watched a movie, "Mrs. Doubt" with my friends in our library last Friday. It was a little funny but impressive. I had thought it much funnier before I watched it, but it was so impressive in that it shows the father's love to his children. He did every thing he can do, and he seems to be odd, even strange.

I think this movie emphasizes the love in a family. It is because he himself said that as long as there is love, they are connected, in the movie. The parents do all things for children without regard to themselves. I feel that in case of my parents too.

It is really regrettable that he and his wife divorced. Except for that, this movie is really heartwarming.

Japanese Cuisine!

Hi, everyone. Today is the last day in this week! The weekend is coming!

Recently, I give vent to stress by eating. I know that it is not good for my health, so the least I can do now is trying to do some exercise twice a week. Today was one of those exercising days.

However, I think it is still important to care about meals. I think of Japanese cuisine as the best and the most healthy meals for Japanese people.

Today's dinner was Japanese dishes. The main dish was grilled fillet of the mackerel, and it was in pride of grease. We also had some food boiled and seasoned, and the dishes included something like toufu, pieces of konjak(konnyaku), napa cabbage, taro and some beans. It was seasoned with soy sauce.

Besides, we had rice, and brown(unpolished) rice. What a healthy food! It includes dietary fiber so much. Mo mother boiled it in a pressure cooker, not in a rice-cooker. This is important, I think!

Anyway, we had a good dinner and a good time. Besides, tomorrow is a holiday. I am really happy!

BR2-10: Superdog

I read the book "Superdog", which is one of a series of ORT. I chose it, because a picture of Floppy in the book cover was so nice. He is seemed to be so proud!

This is the story about a dream that he had. In the dream, he helped a baby in a rolling pram, got back a stolen purse of a woman, protected a poor puppy, rescued a man on the top of a tall building and so on. All people admired what he did and called him 'superdog'. The story of him were on newspaper, and he can cross every street without waiting. All people in cars stooped for him. Now, he was a special dog and he was treated in a special way. However, a conclusion he made was still that to be a normal is a good thing. He just want to live a peaceful life.

I think he is right. I think I should, and I want to live my life without being broken by pressure and stress or compared with others. I recommend that you read it too. It will comfort you, and you will feel comfortable.

Our Doorkeeper ( - :

Hello, everyone! Are you enjoying your weekend? Well, I am enjoying, and I feel good. I would like to talk about our doorkeeper in today's post!

With the words "our doorkeeper", I mean my dog, Lovely. I think she is really sweet and cute, and the one reason is in this point. She always knows who is missing in the house. For example, when only my mother and I are in the house, she knows my father is missing.

She really like when everyone are at home together. When somebody is missing, she keeps waiting the person's coming home. She is seemed to be really sweet then. The every time she is doing so, I think I have to come back home as soon as possible after school. Do you see what this parental love for her is like?

My turn to cook dinner !?

Good evening, everyone! I will talk about my routine in this semester.

I do not have as many classes as last year, and I have only one class on Tuesday and two classes on Wednesday. On Monday and Thursday, I have four classes. Especially, I have the lesson of the Japanese teaching course twice a week, on Monday and Thursday, so I go home late those days.

I have the large time on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then, my mother and I fixed these two days every week for my cooking day. I am to cook dinner twice a week. It is really good and suitable for me, because I feel every time when I want to make something good to eat for someone and especially, when my mother feels sick. Further more, I felt I should learn cooking when I stayed in California in U.S.. This routine in this semester will help me to learn how to cook!

Yesterday, that was Tuesday, I made Spaghetti carbonara and vegetable soup. It is my father's favorite. He enjoyed it with wine. Today, I made oyako-don, and my mother made ton-jiru and ohitashi. I like her dishes, and today's dinner was so good.

My father and mother do not say complain and always say "Thank you" to me, even when the dish tastes bad. That makes me happy and motivates me. I often made many mistakes in cooking, but I will trying! It will do good to me when I leave home, live by myself, and get married.

Essay: ～～ my second home ～～

I think I said that my favorite places are my own home and California in USA on this blog before. This time, I would like to focus on the places in California, where I enjoyed staying in this summer. Now, I am thinking of there as my second home. By the way, I know that I do not know that much about there, and ‘California’ has various, various aspects, and it is a so large land. I would like to share only my feeling about my favorite points.

First of all, I couple the name of California with the idea of the great ocean view and sky blue! I can never forget it! The state is on the west coast, and it touches the Pacific Ocean. Besides, the shorelines are different from those in Japan. Most of coastlines in Japan are much irregular. That’s why the beaches in CA are much wider that those in Japan, and we can get great views of Ocean from each beach with no obstruction. We can see a long, long horizon. I think I had not seen such a long one. It is much easier to tell the shape of the earth is round!

I visited the spots on the west coast, LA JOLLA, DEL MAR, OCEANSIDE and so on. There are so many surfers, though I did not try getting into the sea. My new friends love surfing and get in the sea many times a week. They say the sea is a special seat to see sunset. I want to try it someday. I really felt the beauty of the sunset, especially from the beach, although I did not enjoy the dawn. You see the reason? It is because that is the west coast. In other hands, people living on the east coast enjoy the beauty of sunrise. Anyway, the view of sunset from the beach is so special, and I can not help sighing. The second spot that I will bring you to is CORONADO. It is an island situated across the river(?) from San Diego, so we can see the view of San Diego! Especially, the night view is the best!

These two spots gave me the great impression, but the real reason why I feel it is like my second home is in the meeting with people. I stayed with a Japanese woman for a month, and she is just like family. She gave me many advices. Besides, new friends there are really warm, and I do not have to feel constraint. Do you see why I call this place ‘my second home’? Of course, with the word ‘home’, you mean a place you can go back to, don’t you? Then, I mean I am planning of going back there next year, because I promised with them. I am really glad to have such a place. When I arrive there, I am sure that I will say ‘I’m home’!

Recently, I have been feeling that I need some exercise to remain healthy. It is because that I have gain too much weight and not had energy enough for school life each week. It is so terrible and serious that I always feel tired during each class. The reason must be too much eating and the lack of exercise.

Then, I decided to do some exercise in particular time every week. Today, I had free time during classes, and I did exercises with one of my friends. We used the gym of my university. Every student in my university can use it for free. We did cycling exercise for twenty minutes and I did also running training for fifty minutes. We really enjoyed it. Besides, I felt so good in the next class and could concentrate in the class.

Exercise really does good for me! I have never used the gym before...this two years! Now I regret not using it. I am determined to use it every week, and I am thinking of going there two times a week. I found a pleasure in my university life!♪

I said that I wanted to stay with her again next year, and she answered she would welcome me whenever. I have my next plan, and I feel warm feeling when I remember the life in California. I love eating in fall! I always eating no matter what season it is, though. Ha ha! However, many fruits like peer and grapes and chestnut...are delicious in fall especially. I can not help enjoying them!

Besides, in fall, we have a good weather, not too hot and no too cold. I think it is a good season for sports and exercises. In second year in the university life, I do not have regular exercises so much. Then, I am thinking of starting exercise in my university's gym once a week with one of my friends.

What is more, fall is also a season for fashion. I love fall color, because they are rich and deep. I want to enjoy the colors!

It is not good for health to eat delicious foods only, don't you agree? I really think so. I would like to spend this fall in a joyful and healthy way!

BR2-09: The Blue Eye ( - :

I chose "The Blue Eye" as the book for this week. I got interested in it, because I did not imagine the plot from its title. Actually, it was an interesting story.

Biff and Wilf had found old marbles in a storeroom. They went to the adventure with they in the hands. I think the place was some country in Middle East or Northern Africa. There was a woman who needed a special stone called 'Blue Eye' to be a princess. She just got it, and she was chased by many bad men. She dropped 'Blue Eye' in front of Biff and Wilf, and they found her and gave it back. Then, they got also involved in the problem, and they ran away so hard with her. The marbles was useful to fool the men and run away from them. At last, they could go to her kingdom, and she became a beautiful princess.

I recommend this book, because it is an exciting story with an interesting title. The plot is good.

The Season for Eating !

Ooh~, the autumn is coming. It is not too hot, and it is not too cold. I feel the autumn is coming from the winds, sky, clouds...

I like winter, so I am looking forward its getting cold.

Before that, however, it is autumn, and it is the season for eating! In fact, I had lost weight a little, at least I did not gain weight before I came to Japan from California. I was glad when I knew that, but now, I have already gained weight 3 kg in only 2 weeks after then... terrible. It is because of the amount of my meals, that is, rice.

I do not know which is better to enjoy eating or to feel stress from save meals for the ceremony next year. I know these choices are too excessicve. But actually, I can not save it... but I am happy. (＾▽＾)/

I started again the private lesson of Chinese two weeks ago. First time, I had forgotten Chinese words and phrases. Gradually, however, I remembered them.

Today was the second lesson after I came back from California. I enjoyed talking with my teacher, but I think that I should try to talk more Chinese, not Japanese, even if she is great at communicating in Japanese. It is because I depend on her Japanese when I ask a little difficult questions. I have to! Otherwise, I will end up wasting this great chance that I get now.

Today, she told me to try to study for Chinese examination too in this lesson. It must be one of my aims to study Chinese. I am looking forward to trying it. Of course, I have to study a little harder than now. I feel it is a great thing to have a things to try!

Besides, she gave me a 'Geppei'(月餅), a Chinese sweets. It was made in Japan. I liked it. She taught me that it is a sweet in Autumn. In China, she don't see them so much in the other seasons, though there are not so different in every season in Japan. Autumn is a season for eating too! Ha ha!

New Classes!

I take two new classes this semester. I am thinking of talking about them today.

One of them is about the affair of UK. We studied about which name is right, though there are so many names for it. For example, UK, Great Britain, England. In fact, its official name is The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Besides, we learned about its four parts. First, in England, people are called English and speak English. In Scotland, people are called Scottish, and their language is also called Scottish. In Wales, people are called Welsh, and the language is called Welsh too. In Northern Ireland, people there and their language are called Irish. Hoo, this is a good review for me.

The other of two new classes is for data processing with a computer. I am really bad at using computer, but I know that it might be required that I can use a computer when I get a job. That's why I started challenging to use a computer. The class will have a test of typing, that I am really bad at, so I am very trying to type without looking down the keyboard, typing this sentence now. It is so tough to practice the blind typing, but I think it is great opportunity for making progress in computer. I hope that I will reach this end!

I will make the great use of these classes too!

Hi, everyone in the Foreign Languages Department! Are you trying hard to learn English? I know, of course, you are trying. How do you study English, then? Recently, I had been thinking about how to learn English, though that is just my intimate affair. I was anxious about my learning English, because some of my friends are to go study abroad next year, but I’m not. Well, I found this site recently. I was thinking that I need listening materials, and I watched English news a little lately. It occured to access websites of ABC, BBC, PBS, that broadcast those English news. I thought BBC's was good. It was just last week, so I haven't make any progress in English yet. Yes, I think I should use this everyday... I'll try as often as I can! I found the good materials in the BBC’s web site, so I would like to introduce it to you this time.

BBC stands for British Broadcasting Corporation. My favorite point about this web site is that it has English learning program. There are so many sites just with English games on the Internet. This site also has many games for kids, but not only that. At the bottom of the page, it has a corner that “Explore the BBC”. You can choose a link, “Learning English” in it. If you click on it, it shows lists with many items, like “NEWS ENGLISH”, “QUIZZES AND EXAMS”, “GRAMMER & VOCABULARY”, and “BUSINESS ENGLISH”.

I have liked to study English grammer since my high school days. Now, however, what I feel that I need are to build my vocabulary and polish my listening skill more. So this time, I will recommend you to use the part of “GRAMMER & VOCABULARY”. You will find an item, “Pronunciation>>”. It has video with a native English speaker. She explained what the good pronunciation is and why we need to learn such a kind of pronunciation. Her British English is so nice and clear, and her advice becomes a good encouragement for us. It must be inducements to you to learn English and make your pronunciation better and clearer.

It will help you to learn modern and practical English! Besides, you might want to get knowledge about world news. You can also listen to the English news stories with video and audio. It makes it possible for you to learn how to express new things in English, that is, new coinages which are used in the modern world.

I has forgotten to talkk about rasks of our bakery! If you are a university of KGU, you must have tried rasks. One pack is only 50 yen. It is suitable to your a little hungry.

There are various kinds of them. I think it depends on what kinds of bread left unsold, though I am not sure about it. But I think they did not buy those rasks before. In my opinion, it is very economical and environment-friendly... good thing, anyway. Many of them are made from French bread, but the one I tried last week is made from chocolatechip melon bread. It was delicious! The chocolate smell was good.

I want to say you to try them, but it depends on the timing, in fact. I'd like to have it again!
