Diary 9: Wed, August 27th

Today's notice

It's a real first name society! I had thought it is natural that exchange students tell us(students) their first name. However, I realized here is a real first name society. It is because all of people who I meet for the first time tell only their first name. In Japan, we tell our last name or full name, you know. That is a polite manner for us. In USA, it seems that it is polite to be friendly and companionable. What is more, the age doesn't matter at all. They tell their first name without regard to age or sex. I really felt how this society regards each individual is important.
